It is finally Teacher Appreciation week, and what a great week to celebrate! I wanted to shine a light on each and everyone of our teachers for their hard work! We have some that have been here just a few weeks, and some that have been here almost 15 years! No matter how long they have been with us, each one has had some shining moments while making a positive impact on our children!

Ms. Rashelle and her teaching team bring such a calm and welcoming approach to GMCC! Anytime you walk into their room, they are always focused on the children, tending to their needs, loving them, and coming up with fun activities for them to do!

Ms. Melissa, Ms. Krystle, Ms. Chris, and Ms. Kalie
Ms. Melissa and her teaching team have been working hard lately at bringing learning moments into their daily routine. They have amazing group times, sensory time, and story time! Each teacher takes pride in coming up with new ideas for children!
Voyagers 1
Ms. Jen, Ms. Carley, Ms Shelby, and Ms. Madison
Ms. Jen and her teaching team have great relationships with the children and their parents! During drop off and pick up time, you can tell that the teachers are invested in making sure that themselves and the parents are a united team with their child’s educational journey!

Ms. Bonnie and her teaching team do a great job at being active in the classroom and outside of it! They are always coming up with ways to incorporate movement and music into their daily routine! Anytime you walk passed their room, the teachers are always engaged and moving around with the children!

Ms. Kaylynn, Ms. Olivia, Ms. Crissy, Mr. Austin, and Ms. Julieanna, Ms. Nadia, Ms. Sam
Ms. Kaylynn and her teaching team have tackled a lot over the last few months with changing up age groups! They are doing a great job at finding developmentally appropriate activities for their children that expand their knowledge. A lot of their activities are hands on and messy, which is great for them!!
Explorers 1
Ms. Cayla, Ms. Chloe, Mr. David, Ms. Leah
Ms. Cayla and her teaching team do a fantastic job at setting their children up for success when they start the preschool program (next age group). They structure their day to mimic the young preschool classrooms to help them learn the vital skills needed to succeed in the next age group. The teachers also are constantly collaborating and working together to make sure that they can have the most fun activities planned as well!
Young Preschool 1
Ms. Rachel, Ms. Emily, Ms. Nadia, Ms. Maddy, Ms. DJ
Ms. Rachel and her teaching team do a great job at introducing the first step to our preschool program! Their daily schedule allows them to have structured time and unstructured time. They also take time to make sure that they are there for them emotionally. The teachers have great bonds with the children! Being 3 is tough, and the children know that they can go to their teachers for anything!
Young Preschool 2
Ms. Tracy, Ms. Nicole, Ms. Kelsey, Ms. Julia, Ms. Lauren
Ms. Tracy and her teaching team are great at making sure they are going off of the kids interests when planning learning activities. They do a great job at taking those interests, turning it into a fun game, and then making it a learning experience! This teaching team is dedicated to making sure that they succeed socially in the classroom and implement many techniques to ensure this!
Pre-K+
Ms. Becca, Ms. Brooklynne, Ms. Brandi, Ms. Lauren, Ms. Kelsey
Ms. Becca and her team go above and beyond to make sure that the children’s last year at GMCC sets them up successfully academically and emotionally. When you walk into the room, all teachers are engaged with the children, doing a variety of activities and always modeling respect amongst all! They also are great at creating relationships with the children and their parents to ensure that all families have updated communication about the day to day life in PreK+.
