The Greater Midland Community Centers, Inc. ("Greater Midland") and its operating units (incl. Greater Midland Community Center, Greater Midland Tennis Center, Greater Midland Curling Center, Greater Midland North Family Center, Greater Midland Coleman Family Center, and Greater Midland Corporate Wellness Centers) are committed to the privacy of our website visitors. Therefore, we are providing this notice explaining our online information practices, including the personal information that the organization collects, and the ways in which the organization uses that personal information.

This policy applies to website visitors, members, program participants, and job applicants. This policy does not address the handling of information relating to individuals once they become employees, which is governed by internal personnel and information security policies.

What information does Greater Midland collect?

If you provide your email address as part of a registration or transaction on our site and choose to opt-in to email communications, Greater Midland and the operating unit may periodically send e-mail newsletters or e-mails featuring sales and promotions. When opting out, you still may receive receipts and other email communications from an operating unit with which you perform business transactions. Likewise, if you have submitted an application for employment to Greater Midland, we may collect the following information from you in connection with your application through the Careers Site: https://www.greatermidland.org/jobs. For example, that information may include your name, email address, phone number (mobile or other), resume, work experience, education, skills, licenses and certification, professional and other work-related licenses, references, current/desired salary, awards, professional memberships, and any other information you elect to provide to us. If you wish to remove all communications from any operating unit, please contact that operating unit directly.

Health and Fitness Data

The website and mobile app collects and processes limited health and fitness data only as necessary to provide core fitness and activity-tracking functionality. Subject to user consent, this may include workout and activity information such as activity type, duration, distance, time, calories burned, step counts, and activity status obtained from system health platforms, including Google Health Connect and Apple Health.

Additionally to the above, we may collect personal health data for certain activities or programs. This may include known allergies, medications, immunization history, medical treatments and or recurrent/chronic illnesses. Any such data will only be collected if you voluntarily submit such information. If you do provide us with personal health data for an activity, event, or service, we may use it to conduct such activity event or service and future Greater Midland activities until such time as permission is revoked by you. Personal health data will only be shared with staff who directly need it for care and written or electronic records will be protected using reasonable safeguards like password protection and encryption.

Information Usage

We use the aforementioned information for the following:

a) Determining how many visitors the site is receiving

b) Maintaining shopping cart information

c) Recording aggregate data to determine usage statistics

d) Promoting events and services the visitor may be interested in

e) Displaying activity history, generating fitness insights, enabling in-app challenges, and supporting app functionality.

All website financial transactions are handled by our payment services providers. We will share information with providers only to the extent necessary for processing payments and refunds, and dealing with complaints and queries related to such payments and refunds.

The information you submit on the Careers Site will be used for our personnel recruitment, management, and planning purposes, as permitted by local law, including:

Except as provided in this privacy policy, we will not provide your information to third parties. The following describes some of the ways in which your information may be disclosed to third parties:

Other Greater Midland operating units. Greater Midland may share personal information collected through its Site with affiliated operating units in the Greater Midland organization for applicable business purposes.

In addition, we may disclose your personal information:

a) To the extent that we are required to do so by law;

b) In connection with any ongoing or prospective legal proceedings;

c) In order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights (including providing information to others for the purposes of fraud prevention and reducing credit risk) and;

d) With certain advertising networks in order to track your interests and behaviors while visiting the Site.

With regard to personal information submitted on the Careers Site, we may share personal information with affiliates and/or partners that are involved in evaluating candidates for a given position. We will make the information available on a "need to know" basis, including personnel in the recruiting, human resources, and information technology departments, and in the department responsible for the position for which you are applying. We may share personal information with third-party service provider who provide services such as hosting the application information, background check processing, and similar services.

Greater Midland will make every reasonable effort to protect your personal information, however, Greater Midland and its operating units cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us.

The personal information you provide is stored on our secure (password- and firewall-protected) servers.

You are responsible for keeping your password and other login details confidential. We will not ask you for your password (except when you log in to the website).
