MIDLAND, Michigan – With temperatures forecast to reach record-breaking highs this week, Greater Midland facilities are opening their doors to anyone who needs a place to cool down, hydrate and stay safe. The public can enter through each building’s main entrance any time during regular business hours. Seating and water are available.
Locations include:
· Community Center – 2205 Jefferson Ave., Midland (5 a.m. to 9 p.m.)
· Tennis Center – 900 East Wackerly Rd., Midland (8 a.m. to 10 p.m.)
· North Family Center – 2601 East Shearer Rd., Midland (6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
· Coleman Family Center – 4839 North Coleman Schools Dr., Coleman (6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.)
“If you or someone you know doesn’t have access to a cool space this week, we strongly encourage you to make use of Greater Midland facilities – you are welcome here,” said Greater Midland President & CEO Terri Johnson. “Stay hydrated, stay cool, and protect yourself and your loved ones.”
