North Midland Family Center launches Outdoor Archery Complex!
On September 11, 2010, Daniel Bloom carefully fitted an arrow, and let it fly where no arrow has flown before.
The Mills Township President was grand-opening the new 3-D Outdoor Archery Range at the North Midland Family Center, to the delight of avid archers and hunters all over the greater Midland area. The range boasts 5 elevated stations with a variety of natural obstacles, targets, and distances, and attracted all ages and abilities as event attendees tried their hand at shooting.
“We are so excited about opening this range,” said Alison Ginter, Executive Director, who let fly some highly skilled shots of her own. “It’s going to be a great opportunity for people of all ages to come out and either learn how to shoot or hone their skills for hunting season.”
North Midland will be offering both beginner and advanced archery classes, as well as hosting open range times for people to utilize. And for those looking to provide a unique corporate team-building event, this just might be the new trend-setting activity that everyone flocks too. Pun intended.
The North Midland Family Center is located at 2601 E. Shearer Rd, Midland, MI 48642 and is an operating unit of the Greater Midland Community Centers, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit organization.
