Tyler DuRussel recently joined Greater Midland as a wellness concierge. In this role, Tyler is responsible for helping to connect individuals with effective wellness opportunities that best meet their needs and ultimately help them reach their goals.
In addition to his role as a concierge, Tyler will also serve as a running coach for local athletes. He ran track and cross country for Bay City Western High School where he was awarded many honors including County Champion in 2010, All Valley for three years and All Region for two years. Tyler graduated high school with the sixth fastest 5K time (16:25) in school history.
Since high school, Tyler has continued his running career and claimed back-to-back wins at the Pulse 3 Foundation’s Run for Your Heart 5k in 2013 and 2014. He has also completed numerous half marathons and one marathon. In addition, Tyler started coaching middle school cross country and has trained numerous adult athletes, all of whom have broken personal records in their events.
Tyler earned an Associate's degree in Small Business Management from Delta College. He has several years of experience in retail management locally at Runner's Performance Stores.
Kayla Sian joined Greater Midland as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. In this role, Kayla will work with clients to help them improve their health and meet their fitness goals. She also has an enhanced background in nutritional guidance and will lead group nutrition seminars and help guide individuals through the pitfalls of grocery shopping.
Kayla loves all things food and fitness. One of her greatest passions is learning how to grow and preserve her own foods. She believes everything should be as close to nature as possible and that there is room for everything in our diets, in moderation. Her philosophy is that nutrition isn’t just about being physically fit, it’s about doing everything we can to feel our best every single day.
Kayla earned an Associate's degree in Health Fitness from Delta College. She holds her personal training certification and has completed numerous courses on nutrition. She shares nutrition tips and recipes on her Facebook page, Apple a Day.
