Greater Midland Community Centers, Inc. can trace its roots back to 1919, when Herbert H. Dow, founder of The Dow Chemical Company, donated funds to build the Midland Community Center. He knew that healthy, active people resulted in happy, more productive employees.
Today, funding for Greater Midland Community Centers, Inc. comes from three primary sources:
- Programs/Memberships (63%)
- Personal Contributions/Corporations/Foundations (17%)
- United Way (11%)
Maintaining a diversified funding base allows GMCC to remain on solid financial footing, which is critical in tough economic times.
