When: Thursday, August 10. Packet pickup is from 5:00-6:00 PM
Race START is at 6:00 PM and must be FINISHED by 8:00 PM
Raffle at 8:05 (do not have to be present to win)
Where: START INFLATABLE behind Curling Center on Greater Midland Community Center property
Who: Teams of at least 1 youth and 1 adult and not more than 5 on a team
There will be 24 stations spread throughout the area surrounding the Community Center. Each team will receive a map of where the stations are located at packet pick up so that they can develop their strategy.
All teams will start at 6:00 PM and must have their punch card map turned in by 8:00 PM. Stations will include physical, mental and teamwork challenges. To be eligible for the raffle a team must complete all stations. All youth finishers will receive a finisher’s medal and shirt for participating.
The Greater Midland Community Center Picnic will be available for all teams from 4:30-6:30 PM and then there will be additional snacks available for all teams until shortly after 8:00 PM near the FINISH LINE.
*Water station available at the corner of Eastlawn and Jefferson as well as inside the Community Center.
Join us for the first ever Be Greater Kids Adventure Race and Community Picnic! If you’ve watched or heard of The Amazing Race then you have the idea for this exciting 2 hour adventure race for kids ages 5-12! Solve challenges and checkpoints to complete the adventure around the Greater Midland Community Center neighborhood. Teams must include one member who is over 18.
Teams can be up to 5 members. You can have one youth (ages 5-12) and one adult (18+) or you can have 2-4 youths with 1 adult. You choose! Due to having multiple people on a team, registration is available at the Community Center or via mail. Cost is $15 per team member (FREE for 18+ team member). Register now and receive $5 off per team member! Registration includes Kids Adventure T-shirt and refreshments.
