50+ center fun activities

Members who are 50 years or older have access to all the Barstow/Shipps wing has to offer if you have one of the following memberships: 50+ Social Membership (only $40 annual fee), Premier, Multi, or Land & Water Fitness Pass.

Monthly meat and greets
3rd Monday each month (Sept. - May)
12:15 pm in the 50+ Center
Come enjoy food, games, and prizes! Bring a dish to share.

***Please note that January Meat and Greet is on the 4th Monday.

ballroom dancing

First Monday of October - May
Dance begins at 6:00 pm
Optional potluck at 5:15 pm

billiards - pool
Six Brunswick pool tables.
Monday - Friday from 8 am - 4:30 pm
Tournaments are posted often on the bulletin board at the entryway.

Monday and Wednesday at 12:30 pm. Sunday at 2 pm.
This is sanctioned Bridge and includes additional fees.

Every Wednesday at 1:00 pm. Everyone is welcome!

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:00 pm. Beginners welcome.

stay educated series
An educational series provided by Brookdale Assisted Living. Takes place every second Tuesday of each month from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. A light snack and coffee is provided. New topics every month!

computer help
Provided by the Midland Computer Club. Help provided to those who are struggling with their computers, tablets, and laptops. Schedule varies by availability - Call 989.832.7937 x2270 for more information.

AARP Tax Services
AARP helps prepare and e-file tax returns for state and federal income tax purposes at the Community Center. This free program is open to seniors aged 60 or above who have low to moderate income or for non-seniors who have low income. Services offered in 2018 on Thursdays and Fridays from February 1 through April 13. More Information

Silver Sneakers
SilverSneakers is a program offered under many insurance plans. Check with your insurance provider to see if you qualify. SilverSnakers classes are offered every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10:45 am - 11:45 am. Our experienced instructors will help you feel comfortable in this fun, lower intensity, group exercise setting.

Silver & Fit
This program allows you to attend many of our Active Adult fitness classes where our instructors provide a fun, low intensity, group exercise setting. Offered under many insurance plans, be sure to check your provider for qualifications.
